We started our PALS this past week. This is a Peer Assisted Learning System. The students work with a partner on letters, rhyming, beginning sounds, and even late on ending sounds. They take turns being the teacher and the student. This is a great time for them to work with one another and learn from each other. They also enjoy this little bit of time we spend on this weekly!

Guest Reader
We started out our week last week with a guest reader. Our own principal Mrs. Miller wanted to come in and meet our Kindergarten students and share her favorite story with them. Her favorite book is Stephanie's Ponytail. We had a great time listening to her read and meeting her. Ask your child about this visit!

Name Puzzles!?!?!?!
We were busy working on our names and I created a name puzzle for them to put together. Some found this hard and some thought it was easy. It was great to see the different ways they tried to put their names together. They did bring these home to share with you. Hope that you enjoyed some time to put these together as a family.
All About Me~
We have been working very hard on learning about each other at the beginning of our school year. We have spent a lot of time discussing our birthdays, families, and what we like. It has been a great way for us to learn. I have learned so much in these past couples days it is unbelievable. We made a book that is coming home on Friday to share with you. Please take the time to sit down and discuss this book with your child. Enjoy!
Number Practice
We started our Math curriculum this week and wow have we been busy! We are working very hard on counting objects and correctly writing our numbers. This can be tricky but we are taking our time to do our best work. We have really done a nice job and I am very proud at how hard each and every child has done! Since we started our math we also have begun our Math Dailys. These are the stations that the students go to after their math work is done. These different stations reinforce the topics we are working on and have worked on. There are 4 different stations to go to. They are: Partner Math, Math Technology, Math Writing, and Math by Myself. Ask your child about each of these!
