Flashlight Fun!!

Today was a lot of fun!  We had a mystery reader who was Mrs. Ross.  She comes into our classroom to help plus she is Karlee's grandma.  Then we read "And to Think that I saw in on Mulberry Street...".  That was a great story to read because it really got our imagination flowing.  We then did a connect the dots and were able to color those in.  After that we spent many different times of the day in the dark!!!  :)  We did some buddy reading in the dark, listening to stories in the dark, and even some math!  Oh what fun we had with those flashlights!  Can't wait until tomorrow!

Wacky Wednesday!!

WOW!!!  Did we ever have a Wacky Wednesday!!!  It was a lot of fun!  First we all dressed up as wacky as we could.  Then we heard the story "Wacky Wednesday" and wrote about what we would see if that happened to us.  Then we just had a lot of fun doing all sort of different activities during the day!  We had another mystery reader....Jake's mom!  We had all sorts of clues and it took awhile but finally we were able to figure out who it might be!  Can't wait for what the rest of the week brings!  Enjoy our pictures of buddy reading in our wacky clothes!!

Green Day!!

On Tuesday we all wore green to celebrate the book "Green Eggs and Ham".  It was great to see everyone in all their green clothes!  WOW everyone wore something green!!  Thanks for all your help!  We spent some time discussing trees...perfect because they can be green.  The students all had a partner and were able to play a memory game with different types of trees!  They had a blast!   Then we had our next mystery reader and it was Ms. Shuey our custodian!  She was a tough one to guess as we were not as familiar with her.  Many of the students called her the "vacuum lady".  She loved it and enjoyed reading her children't favorite book to us!  We also played a Cat in the Hat stripes game which was fun too!

Cat in the Hat Day!!

On Monday we celebrated Dr. Suess' Birthday by doing many activities that dealt with the Cat in the Hat!  WOW did we have fun!  Our own principal Mrs. Miller stopped by in her cat suit to read us the book!  She was our first mystery reader of the week!  It was fun listening to the students try and guess who it would be.  Then Eli's mom dropped by to also be our second mystery reader that day!  That one was a tough one to guess!  Then we were able to make our own Cat in the Hat Hat's to wear around that day!  What fun it was!!!
