We spent some time in Social Studies discussing seasons so we took the time to graph our favorite season! This was fun and it was a close race to see which one has the most votes and FALL won!! You can check this graph out by our door!

Dates:
Reading:
We have been working very hard
in our Daily’s every morning. We now have all of them in place and do three each morning for 20
minutes. While the students are
doing their Daily’s I am working with small groups on a variety of reading
skills. Some are working on letters,
sounds, blending words, word wall words, and reading books. Keep working hard at home on all these
skills. It will show in the
classroom!
Math:
We have spent the last 2 weeks
working on counting to 5, writing numbers to 5, ordering numbers to 5, and
comparing numbers. We have been very
busy. Please work on ordinal numbers
to five, as this is very hard for the students. Also please continue to practice writing numbers at home as
we do occasionally still write them backwards. J
Writing:
We have been very busy working on our lower case
letters these past weeks. We are
working on 2 letters each day with our Friday writing time being spent on
reviewing the letters we have learned.
Practice these as they come home also!

Partner Discussions!~
A favorite thing to do in Kindergarten is to turn to our neighbors and discuss. We will ask each other questions, answer teacher asked questions, and even come up with ideas in these groups! We love turn and talk time!
Johnny Appleseed Sequence
We spent a lot of time the last couple of days discussing the life of Johnny Appleseed. We really discussed how he went about planting his trees and the different stages the trees would be in. So we decided to do our own sequence of Johnny planting his trees! We brought it home to share his story to you! Enjoy!
Homecoming Spirit!~
We got into the homecoming spirit on Friday the 27th by decorating some footballs for the big game! Then we were able to walk down to the high school for an all school pep rally! Finally we got to watch the BIG parade go by! It was a great day!!
Johnny Appleseed
We enjoyed a celebration of Johnny Appleseed on September 26th! We made hats and LOVED wearing them that day! Hope you enjoyed them at home too!
