We have been very busy working on Metacognition and Schema in our classroom. Metacognition is thinking about our thinking and Schema is what do you already know about what you are reading. We made a thinking bubble to hold up and share with others what we are thinking while reading a class book. It was a lot of fun. Now not everyone wanted to come up and share which is just fine!! Maybe next time you will see more friends!

Our CAFE Menu!!
We have started to add to our CAFE Menu! This is a menu that we are continuing to add to weekly. We are working on reading skills and then we fit them in the category that they belong in and we use them while working on our reading! There are 4 categories that make the up the CAFE: Comprehension, Accuracy, Fluency, and Expanding Vocabulary.
We have just started but keep on adding all of the new skills we are learning!

Our Snowflakes!!
We spent some time in January writing about snowflakes, reading about them, and even hoping for them to finally fly. They sure did for a couple days!! Then we decided we would make our own. We discussed how snowflakes are all different and then we made them and were really surprised how our snowflakes ALL turned out different! It was a fun and messy time!! :)

The Holiday Season is in our classroom!
We have been very busy preparing for the holiday season. In our classroom we each created our own stockings to hang on the "fireplace" and are hoping that Santa makes a stop in our classroom.
Next we spent a lot of time creating some one of a kind "reindeer" to hang in our hallway. It has been so much fun! Hope you enjoy looking at these photos!
